The Health Policy and Administration degree program at WSU prepares students for a leadership role in the dynamic field of health care management. The program’s accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education ensures the quality of the educational experience and the lasting value of the degree.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of the program are working in a wide range of career fields, including hospital management, public health, managed care, group practice management, and financial management. An MHPA degree also opens doors to other educational opportunities. Graduates have successfully applied to top-ranked programs in medicine, public health, pharmacy, and law, as well doctoral programs in health services administration and health sciences research.

About the WSU campus in Spokane

Located in the University District in downtown Spokane, WSU’s Health Sciences campus serves 1,400 WSU students pursuing degrees in medicine, pharmacy, nursing, speech and hearing sciences, nutrition and exercise physiology, and health policy and administration. WSU shares its campus with program from Eastern Washington University in physical therapy, occupational therapy, dental hygiene and communication disorders. The University of Washington also has partnerships programs on the campus for educating medical doctors and dentists. Two private universities – Gonzaga and Whitworth – also are located in the University District.
